School holiday's coming, where to santai?

It's always been a headache for me to plan for a 'perfect' value-for-money getaway (coz i'm very particular, sorry, cant help it!). Especially when one hotel room is not enough for the family. Can always squeeze in one room, but, a bit uncomfy, apart from having to pay for 2 extra breakfast. So we tend to look for connecting rooms, or a family room.
This March, kids target for 'beach', since their uncle (abah) is coming back from London for a holiday. And to make the trip merrier, opah, tokwan n mamisu will be joining too, with umi n baba's family. So that requires at least 5 rooms... So kak e called hotels n resorts around rompin, port dickson, penang, langkawi & cherating (to see options). But how disappointing it was, most hotels (to our standard la) are fully booked!! Otherwise, they only have those of ridiculous prices (to us) for the standard they offer. Really not value-for-money. I guess it's a norm nowadays for Malaysians to be out n about in hotels n resorts every school holidays... so, next time, book earlier!! So kak e had to say sorry to the kids, no beach this time, not that we dont have money to go ahead with the beach plans, but it isnt really worth the pay! It's more of 'mmbazir, sayang ke pitih' rather than 'kkupik nok mapuh, takmboh kuor sseseng'...
We suggest places around klang valley, where no accommodation is required. And they buy it. They shortlisted KL Tower, Zoo Negara & Cruise Tasik Putrajaya. Talk about Cruise Tasik, i'v recently been on one while at a seminar in Putrajaya. Got some picts below & more picts here. It was a nice day but i forgot to set the correct exposure on my camera!! So, a bit lacking in contrast, awh, shoot....

Santai w family at home...

After Cherating, kak e n family haven't been on any santai trip just yet. Too occupied with kids' schooling. Even this chinese new year long weekend, we decided to stay home and have some quality time together, playing congkak, UNO & Monopoly!! One thing good about Monopoly these days is they came with this cool Debit Card device, no more mess with all the paper cash! Awsome!!

Just charge to the card....
Hmm.... look who's winning......
Well, yesterday we went to my parents' place, just 5 minutes away. And today we're going to my in-laws' home, half & hour away. We are planning for another santai weekend for this March school holidays, but still undecided whether to go to Langkawi, or Cherating again. Perhaps Singapore?
